She was predeceased by: her parents, Craven A. Covington Sr. and Ethel Lois Covington; her siblings, Craven A. Covington Jr., André Covington and Jamel A. Taborn; and her stepdaughter Carmen Brundage.
She is survived by: her stepmother Hattie Covington; her husband Jones A Bedford Jr.; her children, Harlan H. Hunter Jr. (Verneda), Lisa Mitchell, Jennifer Clark, Cheryl Bedford, Jones A Bedford III and Tanya Brown (Anthony); her grandchildren, Harlan III, Stephanie, Kayla, André, Eva Rose, Cory, Tyler, Christian, Joshua, Nathan, Janelle, Alicia, Audren, Danielle, Alex, Alexis and Skye; and her siblings, Andrea Brown (Norvell), Anita Guris (Paul) and Anthony Covington (Judith). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
