He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alvin Bennett and Maude Heath Bennett; his wife Marlene K. Bellot Bennett; and his siblings, Donald Bennett (Doris), Fred Bennett (Mamie) and Ruth Drislane (Walter F. Drislane).

He is survived by: his children, Robin M. Orenstein (Chad) of Arvada, CO, Kimberly M. Wilson (Kory) of Enumclaw, WA and Steven L. Bennett (Jill) of Hawaii; and his sisters, Janet Chilson of LeRaysville and Jean Parks of Towanda. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
