He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Ruger and Sara Tiffany Ruger; his wife Nancy Maynard Ruger; and his brothers, Louis, Barry, Dwayne, Kenneth and Herbert Ruger.

He is survived by: his daughter Linda Rockwell (Richard) of Allentown, PA.; and his stepchildren, Terry Douglas (Joel) of Milan, PA and Paul Heath (Candy) of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and his cat companion.
