It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine Mahoney Herda (Towanda, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John F. Mahoney and Evelyn McKernan Mahoney; her husband James E. Herda; her daughter-in-law Frances Mary "Fran" Herda; her sister Barbara Mahoney Patterson; her brother-in-law John L. Patterson; and her sister Mary Bailey.

She is survived by : her son Robert E. Herda of Towanda; her grandson Robert E. Herda II; and her great grandchildren, Giuseppe Mazzella, Bosco, Jalynn and Jordin Herda. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church (106 3rd St, Towanda, PA 18848-1798).
