He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Spencer and Minnie Spencer (Williams); his wife Charlotte Ruth Gross of Wilkes-Barre, PA.; and his siblings, Elwood, Cleone, Janice and Alberta.
He is survived by: his children, Claudia Jackson (Douglas), Becky Hoeft (Paul), Lester Spencer (Eun-Hee) and Linda Harvey; his sisters, Berneda Daly and Judy Parmenter; his grandchildren, Doug Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Anna Hoeft, Matt Hoeft, Kristina Spencer and Brandon Spencer; and his great grandchildren, Amber Jackson, Spencer Jackson, Boston Jackson and Landon Jackson.
