With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Delia Webster Allen (Towanda, Pennsylvania), born in Mills, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 22, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandfather Ray Cole (Dee Dee); her parents, Laura Cole Benjamin and Stephen Webster; her sister Betty Lou Webster Lewis; and her brother-in-law Jack Lewis.
She is survived by: her stepmother Elsie Webster; her children, Laura (Jimmy Edwards) of Belton, TX, Kathy (Jodey Kinney) of Rome, PA, Debbie Allen of Oneonta, NY and Daniel Allen of Evergreen, PA; her grandchildren, Justin (Anna Keeney), Kristina (Robert Pearson), Adam (Denise Culver), Ethan (Felicia Culver), Sarah (Jeff Moss), Douglas (Bree Beers), Jonathan (Marian Beers), William (Annalise Allen), Diana Bartholomew of Peru, NY and Zack Keeney of Towanda, PA; her niece Sheri Weiss of Towanda, PA; and her nephews, Steve Schmeckenbecher of Wysox, PA and Scott Schmeckenbecher of Sheshequin, PA. She is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews, 5 sisters-in-law and their 11 children and a number of cousins.
Margaret was affectionately known as "Leadfoot" Margaret served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Bank at DuPont for over 35 years and was honored for the number of gallons of blood she was able to collect for donations, as well as donating 7 gallons herself.
