It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugenia Castanares of Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Eugenia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Eugenia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Condrado Castanares; and her parents, Gasbar Mendez and Gaegoria Mendez (Amper). She is survived by: her children, Epie Church, Lilila Galang, Mely Morales, Fely Wilderspin, Virgy Maagad, Erlinda Castanares, Celia Thing, Dulce Link and Peter Castanares. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
