He is survived by : his sons, Leroy Victor Haupt III (Olimpia) and Michael Todd Waite (Susan); his siblings, Albert "Gene" Haupt and Rosalind Snyder (Phil); his granddaughters, Ashley Waite and Crystal Loose (Eric); his great grandchildren, Hailey Loose and Riley Loose; his sister-in-law Sherry Lamberson (Lannen); his nieces and nephews, Stacy Marini (Lamberson), Jimmy, Sharon Bywater, James Haupt, Lisa Snider and Randy McElwin; and his wife Nancy C. Haupt (Lannen).
