She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Maust, and Christina Petrone Maust, Sr.; her husband John Mattia, Jr.; her daughter Carmel Maust Veno; her brothers, Paul Maust, Charles Maust, Jr., James Maust and Elmo Maust; her godson Stephen Sparks; and her brother-in-law Zeb Sparks.
She is survived by: her children, James E. Mattia (Jane) of Lemont Furnace and Mary Louise DeChessero (Terry) of Uniontown; her grandchildren, Mark Mattia (Wendy) of Donegal, Tara Smith (Chris Smith), Terri Linn Vansickle of Uniontown, Michael Veno (Sarah) and Geno DeChessero of Uniontown; her sister Anna Margaret Sparks of Chalk Hill; her sisters-in-law, Rheba Maust of Williamsburg, VA, Janet Maust of Hopwood, Elizabeth Maust of Hopwood and Dolly M. of Youngwood; her niece Kristie Sparks Belan; and her nephew Patrick A. Sparks. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home (603 N Gallatin Ave Ext, Uniontown, PA 15401). A prayer will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John R. C. Church (50 Jefferson St, Uniontown, PA 15401).
