He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles V. Loughery and Dorothy R. Reiner; his stepparents, Anna Loughery and Harry Reiner; his sister Patricia Creighton; and his stepbrother Ron Wenzel.

He is survived by : his wife Susan "Suzi" E. Loughery Born; his sons, Charles W. (Nancy) and John M. (Delcia); his siblings, William Loughery and Dottie Lynn Kelsh; his stepbrother Frank Wenzel; his grandchildren, Jessica, Candice, Ashton, Charles "Carver", Lawrence, Emily and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Jonah, Theo, Heidi, Anna and Elizabeth.

Due to COVID-19, Charlie's service will be for immediate family only; however, the service, beginning at noon on Wednesday, December 2nd, will be available to view on the "Decker Givnish Life Celebration Home" Facebook page.
