We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2025, at the age of 80, Mary Louise (Sharkins) Halapin-Hughes of Washington Township, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Sharkins and Mary Sharkins (Hosac); her husband Jimmie D. Hughes; and her brothers, Willie and Robert Sharkins.
She is survived by: her children, Leesa Halapin (Todd Orange) of Washington Township and Mike Halapin of Wexford; and her grandchildren, Mikey, Jack and Gunner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. - Apollo (100 Owens View Ave, Apollo, PA 15613). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary Louise's memory to St. Vincent de Paul c/o St. James Roman Catholic Church, 109 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613.
