He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ray Wheeler, Sr. and Pearl Cummins Wheeler of Virginia; and his siblings, Ron, Don Wheeler and Mona Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Joy A. Wright; his children, Bruce Ray Wheeler (Bridgetta) of Sarver, PA, Carla Faye Walters of League City, TX and Amy Wagner (Chris) of Washington; his grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda), Chelsea Walters, Nathan, Carae, Luke Wagner, Carson and Caitlynn Wheeler; and his great grandchild Noah Walters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
