She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur DeThomas, Sr. and Adelaide Stocker DeThomas; and her husband Daniel O. Byrd. She is survived by: her daughter Christina M. Hartzell (William) of Washington; her granddaughter Emma Rose Hartzell; her siblings, James DeThomas, Sr. (Connie), Edward DeThomas (Kathleen), Nicola DeThomas (Lisa), Frank DeThomas (Joella), Robert, Richard DeThomas (Lori), Joseph DeThomas (Angela), John DeThomas and Janice DeThomas; her aunt Rita Kizik; and her siblings, Arthur DeThomas, Jr. and Toni Rose DeThomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
