It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Jane Barnickel (Washington, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph McClure and Clara McClure; her husband Harry "Whitey" Barnickel; her friend Sharon Franconeri; her son Daniel Barnickel; her sister Joann Puskarich; her children, Janet Lea Shade of Falmouth, MA and Timothy Barnickel (Lorraine) of Washington, PA; and her grandchildren, Cody Barnickel (Amy), Jessica Morrison (Clarke), Lauren Roise (Jon), Rachele Veshio (Brian), Timothy Barnickel (Shannon) and Melissa Fowkes (Matt). She was also cherished by 13 great grandchildren.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, the American Cancer Society or the Church of the Covenant in Washington in Jane's name.
