With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn C. Wood of Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 2, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David M. Canan and Mary Margaret Lawrence Canan; and her spouse Russell R. "Bud" Wood, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Ray Wood, II (Bob Guthrie), James D. Wood (Lisa), Donis Wood, Joyce Wood-Johns and Pamela Raley (Larry); and her sister-in-law Rita Canan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 711 Rural Valley Rd, Washington, PA 15301 Family and friends will be received Monday, August 7, 2023, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a service will follow at 1:00 pm.
