He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Bird and Betty Jane Pearson Bird; his wife Pauline; his son William Harps; and his brothers, Timothy Bird and Dennis Bird.
He is survived by: his children, Larry W. Bird, Jr. (Debra), Merle "Butch" Harps (Shirley), Tina Marie Lilley (Robert) and Carla Smith (John); and his siblings, Robert Bird, Jr., Fred Bird and Carolyn McCartney. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
