She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. James L. Thome and Florence Kelso Thome; her husband Roger L. Johnson; and her brother James L. Thome III. She is survived by: her children, Emily Minor (Grant) and Stephen Johnson (Lucy); and her grandchildren, Ben, Katie, Jimmy, William Minor, Melissa Carr and Byron Johnson. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
