He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Samila and Katherine Polly Samila. He is survived by: his stepmother Anne; his wife Helen Gayarski; his children, Patty Steinle (Frank) of Franklin Park and David Samila of Washington; and his brothers, John and Steve Samila. He is also survived by stepbrothers and stepsisters.
