He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis X. O'Brien and Anna O'Brien (Murphy); his daughter Irene M. Knapp; and his brothers, William and Frank O'Brien.
He is survived by: his wife Irene (Untener); and his children, Bobby O'Brien of York, PA, Colleen Carpenter of Croton, NY, Noreen Duppstadt (Art) of York, PA and Sharon O. Melhorn (Mark) of Red Lion, PA.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
