With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice McHugh of Waverly, Pennsylvania, born in Throop, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 2, 2020 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alice McHugh to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph R. McHugh and Rita Hargraves McHugh; and her brother-in-law Edward Stroud. She is survived by : her siblings, Joseph R. McHugh (Mary K.) and Joan Marie Stroud; and her nieces and nephews, Mary Alice Betts, Margaret Mary Hardy, Patricia Ann Aston, Cynthia M. Halpin, Edward J. Stroud, Mara Lee Silverman and Paul J. Stroud.

Alice had a distinguished teaching career and was the recipient of several National Science Foundation Fellowships.
