It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael J Slagan of Waymart, Pennsylvania, born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Rosemary A. Searfass Slagan; his parents, Peter Slagan and Mary Nazarenko Slagan; and his siblings, Andrew, Peter, Alex and Mary A. Prokorym.
He is survived by : his children, Brenda Ryan (Gary) and Michael J. Slagan Jr.; his sister Anna Sandra Shuleski; and his grandchildren, Abigail Ryan, Joshua Ryan, Josiah Ryan and Landon Slagan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the rise in COVID cases, anyone attending the visitation or service are required to wear a mask and all state guidelines regarding COVID-19 will be observed Final Resting Place Abington Hills Cemetery.
