Allen L. Reed Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allen L. Reed Sr. of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Earl "Skinny" and Margaret L. Reed (Sentz); his wife Frances Reed (Hawbaker); and his siblings, Earl Reed, Lois Myers, Lillian Reed (Naugle) and Mary N. Hampton.
He is survived by: his brother Carl Reed; his sons, Allen Reed, Jr. of Indianapolis and John Reed of Chambersburg, PA; his stepchildren, Kitty Shew (Bob) of Waynesboro, Nancy Fann of Quincy, Mary Ann Mellott of Chambersburg, Ronald Wagaman of Five Forks and Betty Montiel (Peeper) of Greencastle; and his grandsons, Justin Reed, Jailon Reed of Indianapolis and Bed Reed of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home (50 S Broad St, Waynesboro, PA 17268). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 2327 Hoffman Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225.
