He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Ward (Wastler); and his brother Tom Ward. He is survived by: his father William J. Ward, Sr. of Brunswick, MD; his wife Peggy L. Ward (Stanhope); his daughters, Suzette Simmers of Waynesboro and Nikki Ward of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, J. P. Nelson, Dakota Hurley, Sophia Simmers and Star Morris; his sister Nancy Jean Snyder (Rick); and his niece Amber.
