She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank George Makel and Alice Good Makel. She is survived by: her husband Carl Douglas Smouse; her children, Rebecca McIntire (Steve) of Waynesburg, PA., Kevin Michael Smouse of Romney, WV., Jeffrey Alan Smouse (Sara) of Centerville, VA., Frank Douglas Smouse (Chelsea) of Waynesburg, PA. and Jonathan Smouse of Interlachen, FL.; her grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Jenna Smith, Kolton, Karson Smouse, Joan, Annabelle, Bryson, Braelynn Smouse, Brandon Veres, Barrett Patterson, Darton and Sierra McIntire; her great grandchild Eleanor; her brother Delbert Makel (Carolyn) of West Columbia, SC.; her friend Gretchen Hoge Rushing (Rocky) of Marion, Kentucky.; her son David Michael Smouse; and her brother Duane Makel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the family concern with the uncertainty of the Covid-19 virus all viewing and services will be private with Rev. Joseph Weaver officiating.
