He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Burns and Irene Burns (Wiley); and his brothers, Jim, Jack and Frank Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Burns (Amber) and Sue Hamm (Dan); his grandchildren, Alivia, Zoe, Stephen Walker Burns, Ryan, Justin and Shannon Hamm; and his sister Sara Sue Mazzei (George). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
