It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Ray Carter of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 5, 2021, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Elden "Dan" Carter of Rogersville and Dorthea E. Huggins (Roger) of Waynesburg; his daughters, Kayla Myers (Shawn) of Fairmont and W. Va (Rebecca Day); his grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Cameron, Aubrey and Hunter; and his siblings, Michael R. Carter of Utica, Terry L. Huggins of Waynesburg, Vicky Carter of Bobtown, Tammy Layton (Tracy) of Core, W. Va, Phillip D. Carter and Cindy L. Altizer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
