Derrick J. Vinson Obituary
Derrick J. VINSON Sr., 54, of Wellsville, died on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born on August 7, 1971, in Wellsville, the son of Franklin and Darlene A. (West) Vinson.
Derrick was raised in Wellsville and attended Wellsville Central Schools. He found his career as a handyman. He was previously employed by: the Wellsville Manor on their kitchen staff, Giant Food Mart, and most recently, Save-a-lot, all of Wellsville. Outside of his employment, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing baseball and watching sports.
In addition to his wife, April, he is survived by: his mother and step-father, Darlene & George Kump; nine children, Amanda, Dillon, Caleb, Kyle, Cameron, Derrick, Derrick Jr., Brooke, and Hunter; a sister, Juanita Moran of Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: his father, Franklin, and a brother, Jason Cline.
