He was predeceased by : his parents, David Smith and Edna Bassett Smith; his wife Myrtle L. Brandes; and his siblings, Leon Smith, Marian Smith and Doris Hill.
He is survived by : his children, Gloria Buell of Wellsville, Louis Smith, Jr. (Marj) of Scio, Dale Smith (Barb) of Mechanicsville, VA and Michael Smith (Laurie) of Wellsville; his grandchildren, AnnMarie Hennessy (Michael) of Wellsville, Melanie Culver (Michael) of West Virginia, Jason Smith of Belmont and Ryan Smith; his great grandchildren, Dominik Culver (Virginia) of West Virginia, Eric Culver of West Virginia, Nickolas Culver of West Virginia, Brenna Hennessy of Rochester and Colleen Hennessy of Wellsville; and his siblings, Ruth Bell of Groton, Florence Buckley of Wellsville, June Shannon (Albert) of Elmira, Phyllis Keeley (James) of Auburn, Kenneth Smith of Andover, Eldyn Smith (Mary) of Willing and David Smith, Jr. (JoAnn) of Afton, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
