She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella R. Steptoe-Day and Luther M. Day; her husband Charles Bass; and her sisters, Dorothy Garriest and Lydia Barnes.
She is survived by: her brother Luther Day; her daughter Pamela Bass Jefferson (Robert); her grandchildren, Kristin Alkire (John) and Robert Jefferson IV; and her great grandchildren, John Alkire Jr. and Jaxon Alkire. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
