He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Fox Waetjen; his children, Douglas A. (Donna Waetjen), Scott (Melissa Waetjen), Bruce I. (Wei Waetjen) and Karen Waetjen (Joseph Schwindt); and his siblings, Mildred Schramm, Charlotte McCandless and Joseph Freeth.
