George Mutchler Gowen Jr. Obituary
We bid farewell to George Mutchler Gowen Jr. of West Chester, Pennsylvania, born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 14, 2025 at the age of 84. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gowen and Dorothy Gowen; his wife Paula; and his siblings, Bonnie and Kevin Gowen.
He is survived by: his children, Ellen Brophy (Stephen), George Gowen III (Gayle) and Anthony Gowen (Shanna); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Laura, Thomas Gowen, William and Megan Brophy; and his siblings, Ellen McNeill and Thomas Gowen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Katharine of Siena Church (104 S Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
