He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis Sr. and Anne Marie Sawyer; his siblings, William Sawyer, Ann Marie Sawyer and Eva Marie Czyzewski; and his parents-in-law, Rita and James Yankauskas.
He is survived by: his brothers, Thomas (Joan), Michael (Eileen), James (Kathy) and Charles Sawyer (Rita); his siblings-in-law, Michael Napoli (Jean), Carol D'Antonio (Rocky), Charles Napoli (Diane), Maryann McCauley (Thomas), Linda Sawyer and Ted Czyzewski; his wife Carmela; his sons, John Francis Sawyer III (Leona) and David Joseph Sawyer (Lisa); and his grandchildren, John, Sawyer IV, Joseph, Emerson and Peyton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment is private due to COVID-19 pandemic.
