With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laurie M. Hissey of West Chester, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thomas Bell McAvoy, III and Lucie Bel Barnes McAvoy; her husband David Scott Hissey; her children, David McAvoy Hissey (Ali), Matthew McCallum Hissey (Johnny), Peter McLeod Hissey (Grace) and Ryan Scott Hissey (Lizzie); her grandchildren, Cathryn, Caroline, David, Anna, Charlie, Elena, Beau and James; and her siblings, Lisa DiLullo (Peter), Sue McAvoy (Bill), Tim McAvoy (Nancy) and Jim McAvoy (Karen).
In lieu of flowers, the family is working on creating a scholarship in Laurie's honor, which will be communicated via CaringBridge.
