He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Osmond Sharpless of West Chester and Nannie Mae Braxton of Cottage Hill, Florida.; his sisters, Dorothy Sharpless Kinne and Barbara Buckendorf; his wife Lois Dean Lewis of Florala; his children, Diane Capers (Tommie), Susan Grantham, Gary Richards, Steve Richards (Cindy) and Sam Sharpless (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Katie O'Neil, Jennifer Grantham, Stephanie Brown-Richards, Carlson Sharpless, Jon Allen and Robbie Adams.
