He was predeceased by: his wife Janet R. Sharpless; and his parents, Raymond E. Sharpless and Margaret Burn Sharpless. He is survived by: his son William B. Sharpless, II (Carey); his sisters, Ruth Farmer (Dick) and Anna Mary McCarter (Lew); his grandchildren, Brayden and Kaleigh Sharpless; and his siblings-in-law, Vic Richards (Peg), Jeff Quinn and Anne Marie Montel (Jay). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
