He was predeceased by: his parent Lewis H. Strauss; his son Lewis Frederick Strauss; and his brothers, Warren F. Strauss and Lewis Frederick Strauss. He is survived by: his wife Gloria A. Strauss (Boaman); his parent Leah R. Strauss (Zern); and his children, Steven R. Schell (Carol), Deborah Pullen (Robert), Thomas G. Strauss (Diane) and Phyllis M. Hoshaur (Thomas). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
