He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Ann Barnes Gearhart; and his brother Attorney Mark Gearhart. He is survived by: his son Dr. Ethan Allen Gearhart IV (Heidi) of Allentown; his grandchildren, Kylie, Brent and Weston; his great grandchild Sandra Ann Soler (John) of Bethlehem; Jessica and John.
