With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernadine E. Zglinicki Smith Elick of Wilkes Barre Township, Pennsylvania, born in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 12, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Zglinicki and Mary Zglinicki (Zmijewski); her former life partner Joseph Smith; her husband Thomas Elick; her son Richard Smith; her grandson Erik Smith; and her siblings, Charles Zglenicki and Theresa Gardner.

She is survived by : her children, Ronald Smith (Antoinette), Romayne Smith Petroski (David), Thomas Elick Jr. (Michelle) and Ralph Elick (Trisha Sharkey); her grandchildren, Pamela Smith, Kurt Smith, Jessica Ziobro (James), Logan, Blake and Thomas Elick III; her great grandchildren, Bennett Ziobro, Richard Dean Smith and Scarlett Marie Smith; and her stepgrandchildren, Eric, Kyle and Luke Petroski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Bernadine's name to the American Cancer Society.
