It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence B. Smith of Wilkes Barre Township, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 20, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Ziomek and Helen Guzik Ziomek; her husband Mark A. Smith; and her siblings, Leon, Joseph, John Ziomek and Helen Kopec.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rose Hirel (John) and Maryann Kopko (Ernest); her granddaughters, Heather Kopko, Becki Smith and Rachel Hirel; her great grandchildren, Katie Simko and Logan Smith; her great great grandchild Ivan Simko; her sister Theresa Petrosky; and her caregivers, Randi, Kayla and Mary of Traditional Hospice.
