He was predeceased by : his parents, Peter Ciavarella and Jeanette Ciavarella; his wife Margaret J. Ciavarella (Bonsavage); and his siblings, Ben, Carmen, Paul, James, Joseph, Tony, Venus, Angeline and Rachel.

He is survived by : his children, Angelina and John Jr. (Kim); his grandchildren, Lysandra, Jessica (Brandon), John Patrick III and Dane (Brennan); his great grandchildren, John Edward, Dominic Mason and Parker; and his siblings, Philip, Frank and Mary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
