She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Navola and Pearl Navola; her husband Joseph Walkowiak; and her daughter Laurie Merritt. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Walkowiak (Deborah Audino), Jeffrey Walkowiak (Jamie Andrews) and Deanna Herbinko (Michael); her siblings, Charles Navola (Carol) and Diane Navola-Ninotti; her grandchildren, Kristin Merritt-Zavada (Andrew), Michael Merritt, Sarah Walkowiak, Cassandra Walkowiak, Connor Walkowiak, Michael Herbinko, Nicholas Herbinko, Joseph Walkowiak III and Juliette Cheney; her great grandchildren, Piper, Evan, Scarlet and Lucas; and her extended family Jessica Roman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Fl 17, Chicago IL 60601 in Carol's Memory.
