Irene Bitonti Obituary
In loving memory of Irene Bitonti of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on August 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Irene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Benish (Nemkavitch) and Joseph Benish; her husband Joseph Bitonti; and her grandson Aidan Garrett Bitonti. She is survived by: her children, Ann Marie Andes (James) of Wilkes-Barre, Brenda Bitonti of Wilkes-Barre, Anthony Bitonti (Ellen) of Woodbridge, Virginia and Louis Bitonti of Plains; her grandchildren, Mia Bailey of Wilkes-Barre, Louis and Ethan Bitonti of Virginia; and her siblings, Elaine Gianuzzi of Yardley, PA and Joseph Benish of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. (689 Hazle St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Irene's memory to Hospice of the Sacred Heart or the S.P.C.A.
