He was predeceased by: his close friend Lois Ziller; and his father Verespy. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Joanne Kemmerer Namey of Florida, Michelle Evanoski of Texas, Dr. Eric Kemmerer of Shavertown and Christian Kemmerer of Philadelphia; his sister-in-law Anne Kemmerer of Hanover Township; and his caregiver Alfred "Buddy" Ziller Jr. (Susan) of Shavertown.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the John V. Morris Family Funeral Home Inc. (625 N Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Nicholas-Saint Mary Parish (226 S Washington St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701). The military honors was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery (1594 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18706).
