James R. Sheehan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Sheehan of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sheehan and Helen Cunningham Sheehan; and his sister Patricia Krokos. He is survived by: his children, Casey J. Sheehan (Tiffany) and Jessica Sheehan (Todd Dervinis); his granddaughters, Riley and Olivia; and his sister Lorraine VanWhy (James) of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home (89 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
