She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Heck and Elizabeth Heck (Basler); her husband Chester F. Konopka; her son Chester Konopka; and her brothers, Harry, Donald, Gerald and Robert Heck.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Konopka of Wilkes-Barre, Caryn Butler (Mark Zdanoski) of Scranton and Kenneth Konopka (Bonnie) of Salida, Colorado.; her grandchildren, Ryan Butler, Eric Butler (Meredith Sorensen), Bridget Butler (Joe Brazil Jr.) and Joshua Hale Konopka; her great grandchildren, Rhys, Annalise, Cooper, Eira Butler and Leona Grace Brazil; and her siblings, Phyllis Heck, Lucille Schneikart and Edward Heck. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home (89 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew Parish (316 Parrish St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
