He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew P. Jones Sr. and Alice Griswold Jones; his son Patrick Jones; and his granddaughter Sarah. He is survived by: his wife Dominique Jallon Jones; his daughter-in-law Linda Jones; his grandson Matthew III; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Liam and Mason; and his siblings, Roseanne Jones, Alice Zaikoski, Mary Gibbon and Mark Jones.
