He was predeceased by: his siblings, John "Tim", Lester, Eugene Koons, Margaret Dieffenbacher, Phyllis Harvey and Martha Koons; and his parents, George Koons and Annis Koons (Lundy).
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Hanna Koons; his children, Cheryl Oswald of Alliance, OH, Candice Fager of Mulberry, FL, Cameron Koons (Pat) of Lairdsville, Cynthia Smith (Jeff) of Mebane, NC and Craig Koons (Lisa) of Hughesville; and his brother-in-law William Hanna. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
