She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Cortez and Maria Lopez Cortez; her foster parents, Longino Rivas and Dorothy Rivas; her husband James Hudson Helphenstine; and her grandson A. Lance Helphenstine.
She is survived by: her children, James A. Helphenstine (Wendy) of Wind Ridge, Jon C. Helphenstine of Wind Ridge, Mary Beth Tedrow of Wind Ridge and Lori L. Moore of Dilliner; her grandchildren, Brent Helphenstine (Dana), Adam Helphenstine (Amber), Matt Tedrow, Erin Klaner (Todd), Jessica Carpenter (Justin), Jonathan Moore (Miranda) and Maria Moore; and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Chance, Kameron, Kane, Kenzie, Mason, Teagan, Ealyn, Logan and Aryai.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
