He was predeceased by : his parents, Margaret A. Claypoole, (Shields) and Ray C. Claypoole, Sr.; his wife Shirley Mae Claypoole (Smith); his grandchildren, Cameron Crissman and Silas Claypoole; and his sisters, Joanne M. Hepler and Virginia L. Alese.

He is survived by : his children, Tammy Crissman (Scott) of Worthington, Roy Claypoole (Rebecca) of Kittanning and Leland Claypoole (Margaret) of Worthington; his grandchildren, Tyler Crissman (Jessica), Hannah Crissman, Derek Crissman, Korbin Claypoole, Isabella Claypoole, Kiyah Claypoole, Aiden Claypoole, Mackenzie Claypoole and Lily Claypoole; his great grandchild Bennett Crissman; his brother Mervin D. Claypoole of Worthington; and his nephew Scott "Shorty" Hepler.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Franklin Union Baptist Church (106 Century Hill Ln, Kittanning, PA 16262).
