It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene D. Sharer (Wyalusing, Pennsylvania), born in Towanda, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 7, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Sharer and Grace Chaapel Sharer; his brother Wendell "Bill" Sharer; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. George Hampshire and Harriet Sharer.

He is survived by : his wife Doris Sharer; his children, Dr. Karen Mohatt (Dennis) of Dacono, CO and Jeffrey Sharer (Louise) of Wyalusing, PA; his granddaughters, Sarah VanVolkinburg (Dale) of Laceyville, PA, Stephanie Carr (Bryan) of Wyalusing, PA and Kathryn Mohatt of Lincoln, NE; his great grandchildren, Colton and Gavin VanVolkinburg; his siblings, Marilyn Hampshire of Sellersville, PA, Donna Robinson (Duane) of New Albany, PA, Robert Sharer of Laceyville, PA and Gary Sharer (Sandy) of Laceyville, PA; his sister-in-law Doris Sharer of Laceyville, PA; and his cousins, Susan, Ellis Berkley, Ty and Donna Cobb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
